SDL Tridion

Partnership with Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software

Agreement takes multi-channel communication to the next level

16 October 2007

SDL Tridion, a global leader in Web Content Management (WCM) solutions, announced today that it has signed a strategic agreement with Group 1 Software, part of Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI).  The fully-fledged and unique integration between SDL Tridion’s content management system and DOC1, the Pitney Bowes software package, provides customers with a unique solution to combine content both online and offline.

The partnership allows Group 1 Software worldwide to resell a subset of SDL Tridion R5 with limited use to connect to a DOC1 environment. Sales and support will be handled by Group 1 directly or by one of their authorized business partners.

With the agreement SDL Tridion and Group 1 take multi-channel communication to the next level. Erik Aeyelts Averink, President of Products & Solutions of SDL Tridion comments: “In a dynamic commercial environment thousands of documents originated from various departments are continuously updated and find their way to customers every day. SDL Tridion, Group 1 and its partner Document Dialog have created a unique infrastructure to quickly and flexible generate and control output. Time-to-market of documents has been reduced dramatically.”

ABN AMRO is the first mutual customer to integrate the DOC1 solution and R5. The integration enables the banks’ business users to create and change documents themselves, which leads to a huge efficiency improvement for the IT staff of output management who previously had to retype whole chunks of text.
